I found this extraordinary piece of land nearly three years ago and became determined to acquire it. In 2006 I did just that. It is spectacular; close by the gondola yet set apart from the noise of the Village it offers immediate appeal for every member of an active family. I love Big White. I've spent many years building on the mountain. The combination of the natural setting and the award winning family oriented ski resort with it's unparalled skiing, snowboarding and cross-country trails can't be matched. The pristine wilderness of British Columbia spreads out before you; a place where you can walk in complete harmony with nature, the crisp crunch of untouched snow beneath your feet, the crystal silence of snow covered mountains embracing your safe solitude, a snow shoe bunny breaking the silent spell as it hops across your path. I've spent hours hiking and running on the trails of Big White, knowing that I and my family are some of the few so lucky to experience this special place.

And this is where you will find The Edge, an architecturally unique design inspired by the great Frank Lloyd Wright, a visionary 20th century architect whose works are now recognized as historically defining. Frank worshipped nature and had little time for the conventional constraints of his time. His design was organic and in harmony with it's natural environment. It is the legacy of his great work I've attempted to capture at The Edge. Immense windows reach for the sky, opening the horizon to view, an unmatchable reflection of the world all around. The butterfly roofline, redefining the building architecturally, allowing completely unobstructed views, site lines pure and uncluttered. The interior design fulfilled with the use of natural materials – wood, glass and rock and steel – functionality, beauty and warmth bound together in a rich natural tapestry of comfort and mood. This is The Edge, innovative design inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, at peace with nature.
